I have a WWC Monster Jam Psammocora that I just noticed something odd with. While I was cleaning my frag tank, I happened to lift out the psammocora and noticed something that resembled clear jelly, for a lack of a better description, on the under side of the coral. Seems to be filling some of the voids under the coral. Not sure if this is normal, or if something has highjacked my coral or maybe destroying it...

I did have a shroom that got rather large and was laying on a portion of the psammocora for a couple weeks that caused some discoloration on the psammo which was why I decided to take a look...

Any similar expiriences or thoughts anyone can offer?? Sure hope it's nothing serious...

I have very limited experience so I can't really say for sure but I had something similar growing on the base of a favia, I sucked it up in a pipette and never saw another until recently. I found some growing in dark areas in my DT, I think in my case it was some kind of sponge maybe. The person that responded to my thread said it looked like some kind of carbon eating bacteria:

I hope it's not the start of this kind of a situation though, my mushroom never recovered:

When I say jelly, it his almost looks like very tiny eggs all jelled together. I have had some small sponges pop up in my qt frag tank where these are located...

Sure hope it is not anything that eats anything else! Thanks for the info Instigate..
