Why are all my montis dying?
Tank parameters
ph 8.2
ammonia 0
Nitrate 0
Nitrite 0
Phosphate 0
Calcium 500-525
Alk using api 13 dkh

Lights- 4 50/50 power compacts and 1 36-48" current orbit marine led

I don't think your lights can support your Montis. PC lighting is not very effective and your LEDs are a little weak. What size tank?

55 gallon and a120

The 120 is 24 inches deep the 55 Im not sure maybe 18 deep

So bein the fact that runnin metal halide I would possibly need a chiller would t5s be effective

Do you know what Monti Nudibranch's are?

I would check for those.

Also, Your Alkalinity is too High.

Of Course those API Alkalinity Tests are never correct.

Check your Alk with Salifert and let us know what you get.

For lighting T5s would be good and so would LEDS. You don't necessarily have to have a chiller with MHs but it depends where your tanks are.

I agree that alk is too high, calcium too.

However - while the range of the api test is only accurate to one degree dkh, I've found that it is quite accurate regardless of the fact that you can only tell if it's 8 or 9, not 8.5.
