I'm currently doing BRS Balling Hybrid for 2-part dosing with trace elements. I think I need to up my concentration of A- and K+ elements in the solutions to get detectable trace elements in my ATI ICP test. If it's not a perfect solution, is it okay to supplement the balling hybrid program with moonshiner? Like if some trace elements continue to remain low, I can correct them and still be okay running Balling Hybrid. Thanks!

Yes, because the BRS Hybrid does not supplies the trace elements that coral absorb.
You can research the Balling method to understand. BRS Hybrid is typically similar to Balling method.

Yes but he supplements it with the Tropic Marin A and K which can be added to the stock solutions to add trace elements.

Yes, I missed that part. With A and K then maybe enough and only need to "RM correction" after ICP.

As mentioned..ati isn't give you the smaller trace (under 1) measurements. I use oceamo ms for that. After ypu know what your correction doses are after a couple months the you can divide that by days or weeks and add supplemental trace as you wish..per day or week or whatever

I use moonshiners and dose kalk at night and BRS 2 part durning the day. I add tropic marine part C to compensate for the extra salt from the 2 part.

Part C is dosed 2 to 1. So for every gal of BRS soda ash, you dose 2 gal part C.

I fill up my 2 part containers 1 gal at a time and pour a gallon of part C in my ATO. When the 2 part container is about 1/2 empty, I pour another gal of part C into my ATO.

By the way, I was dosing 1 gal of kalk a day continously. I switched to a gal at night and my alk consumption and acropora growth have really taken off! My 2 part consumption is increasing much faster.

That’s an interesting anecdote. My guess would be that your daytime pH increased because you mitigated the nighttime pH drop. Higher pH leading to more calcification. Do you happen to have a pH probe? Would be neat to see pH trends before and after you made the switch.

I have a room CO2 monitor on the wall next to the tank, which makes me a lot more proactive cracking windows. I also run a refugium and an outside airline to the skimmer. No PH probe.
