Mount elegance coral on rocks!!?

I have had two. The first one I pushed into the sand got bothered by a powder brown tang and a scribble angel and didn’t survive. This one I glued to a rock island and out behind a cage and it is doing great. I’ll remove the cage at some point to see how they do once he isn’t new.

I have mine on my rockwork, it has a nice spot that it fits into without needing glue.
Did you have to mount it straight up and down? I have a spot but would be slightly angled? It would allow me to partially wedge it into the rock. I am worried the corner of the skeleton may rub over time? Light may burn the skeleton? Thoughts on placement below?
Would be moving shrooms. Elegance is one
Of my favorites, so going to be show stopper front and center!!

Id imagine it shoukd be okay as long as the flesh has space to open and the skeleton has room to grow

It’s been a day, but not opening up great imo? Still closed a bit at edges? I’m Only running 55% max of Kessil AP9X for an hour at max ramp up, so I Moved him under a shaded arch. Will see if he likes it there? Tried to feed him mysis yesterday and he spit them out, haha. Parameters are in line except phosphates are 0.2 after reef roids.

Mine didnt open up fully for a while after moving it. Like weeks for mine to open up, but when i thought it had opened fully, a few months later it actually opened fully and i was shocked how big it really was
