I’m interested in purchasing an ATI Straton pro gen2 for my IM fusion pro 40. I have a Radion xr15 with the tank mount and it works pretty well but leaves a bit of shadowing due to my too late to fix rockscape. I feel like the ATI light would give me a bit more edge to edge coverage. Only problem is a ceiling mount is not going to work in my situation. I’d like to have a rear arm mount for it like my Radion mount. All i see as an option is one that attaches to both sides and extends the length of the tank. While doing my online searches, AI suggested getting an Aqua Illumination HMS single light mount kit for it. I just cant find any good instructions or pictures of how the ATI would attach. I cant even find the ATI light install instructions in English, only German. Can anyone help with the mounting options that dont involve hanging it from the ceiling?

48 second mark in this video shows an HMS mount rigging. Very sad that such a high end light has such limited on-tank mounting options. I have very high ceilings so the lack of mounting options is a major impediment in my situation.

Ive watched that video but it doesn’t really help to show me how the mounting hardware works. Trying to figure out how the rail system attaches to the light install in detail so i can see if one of the rear arms might work for a mount.

Wow, just noticed what you are pointing out now but that’s a lot of money to drop to try and study how they did that mount in 1 second of video! Need to screen shot that and study it for a while!

Here’s the link to that mounting system! Scroll down to the bottom of the page, it’s called the “STAR”. ATI North America sells it. https://store.atinorthamerica.com/collections/straton-pro
I was looking at that but I think the mount needs to attach to legs on both ends of the tank and I can’t even figure out how the light mounts to that rail. I want an arm that just attaches to the back of the tank. I thought I saw that this arm will work but I’m trying to figure out if it will attach the same way as the ati rail

Look like the mounting hardware on the ATI would work on most tanks. It is pretty intuitive staring at the pictures but I am sure the hardware comes with directions too. The hardware looks like the cleanest and simplest option available. This is the hardware ATI uses at the shows—glad to know they sell it on their website!

I did not. For now i got an orphek natura. I saw the ATI straton X may come out in the near future and it appears to have a nice mount. That may be my next choice with my next tank however i really like the orphek so far.

Yes, I am also waiting to see if the ATI Straton X comes out. ATI is really bad about release schedules and marketing in the US so I assume the X won’t come out until Spring 2026.

For example, this Black Friday, you can get lights from most of the other major manufacturers at a significant discount but the ATI Stratons are still selling for full price 🤣
