I am finally upgrading to likely two AI hydra 32s from a fluval marine. My tank is 48”*24”*24” with the euro brace and a glass lid. The tank sits against a south window so I can’t mount against the wall really. My ceiling is vaulted in the room and I ideally don’t want to hang the lights from the ceiling although it is possible. May need to bust some middle school trigonometry SAS to get my measurements up ceiling. My current light is like a cm off the glass strut that spans the length of the tank. I found these at BRS. My question is has anyone used these because I read reviews that the new cords on the hydras don’t fit in the tracts. I like the look of These single mounting arms but don’t see how that works with the glass lid. I really wish I didn’t cheap out on the 200 dollar light a year ago. So many corals that either didn’t really grow or went the way of the dodo.

You can always hide the cords your self with something black, and tuck it away. Is there going to be people judging your wiring on your hydras?

Your other option.. hang them from the ceiling.

I use that HMS double arm mount with 2 Hydra 32's but I have rimless tank and ordered a custom (Toplids) top to leave space on each end for the mounting brackets to fit. Well one end has my overflow so its really the other end that needed the cutout specifically for the arm mount.
Ive included diagram with cutout measurements in case it helps (its in metric so those are mm - that's about 25mm per inch)
The cutout for the arm mount is approx 159mm / 6.36" wide and 25mm / 1" deep

You're right about cords not fitting in the tracks BTW....
The rail is supposed to come with cable clips to help manage the cables as they run along the top of the rail.
Mine did not for some reason so I used small black zip ties for time being but Waterbox (who I bought both my aquarium and lighting through) are sending me the cable clips.
