Mounting tabling acros

I just met up with some people off FB marketplace and got a couple different frags (red planet, Jimmy bean, hellfire). I know most people mount the tabling varieties sideways but is there any problem mounting them like a normal acro

You can mount it however you want. If you mount it normal though it will pick the direction it tables into, whereas a side or diagonal mount gives you some say in the matter. It will also likely take a little longer to really start to get going with growth too as it will need to re-branch to be able to optimize its growth pattern.
