I have my UV mounted horizontally under my sump, and i was just wondering if i can do 90 degree barb fitting a the top instead of the straight fitting they provide picture going to be provided below. I know they said if u want the UV to be mounted horizontally the barb fitting must he facing up

Shouldn't be a problem. One thing to remember is that you UV should not be level. Slightly out of level to let the air purge.

It doesn't need to be at a severe angle. Just a few degrees out of level. Look at your manual.

The inlet and outlet need to be pointing up and it does not matter which end is higher.

So if the inlet and outlet needs to be facing up, is that means i cant change the one provided and use the 90 degrees one i added as a photo above?

You can use you 90 degree fitting. The reason for mounting at an angle is to help eliminate air entrapment that can overheat the bulb. It's also a good idea to turn off your UV when the pump is off say during maintenance.

Is that angle good?
