Moving corals to higher alkalinity tank

I have a tank with an alk of 6.7 (I know it's too low) and would like to move some softies and lps to a tank with an alk of 8.0. How much alk change over an hour or so be too much? (I am slowly raising the alk of the first tank, but I would like to move the corals this afternoon. pH, etc. is about the same.)

If they are doing ok u can just keep them where they are and slowly adjust the alk over time

How often do u test? Test kits? And how long did it take to get from nsw lvl to where u are now?

I would take it really slow for about 1-2 weeks to raise the alk to match.

What I have seen in a couple of places is a 1.0 change over 24 hours should be OK. I have done that once in the past and nothing seemed upset by it. I usually test once a week and somehow it has gone down from 7.2 to 6.7 in 7 days, but things can change quickly since this one is only a 13 gal tank. I would like to move them today since I won't have much time during the next two weeks, but if it has to wait the I ill do it another time. I assume this kind of change happens frequently when you buy corals. The corals might arrive at 8.5 and the new tank is 7.5, etc. and they get switched in an hour or less.

I test alk everyday and my system uses about 25 ml in 24 hr period to keep it stable around 8.5 dkh. U should test daily just from my exp

I know they say 1.0 DKH daily is fine, but I like to do closer to .5. IMO it's easier to raise the Alk in the current tank then transfer

I think you'll be fine. Were only talking 1.3DKH assuming test kits are accurate.
