Upgrading from one tank to another this weekend and have a few LPS on some rock that will not be making the transition. Any creative ideas on how to remove theme from the rock without a bandsaw? One is butted up to some zoa which will not be making the move.

I just finished a very similar job.

I used an inexpensive tile table saw, a battery powered Dremel with a diamond edge blade and a few small chisels and a hammer.

Most rocks were too big to cut all the way through with the table saw since the blade is only about 2" tall. But if you cut a groove that deep into an aquarium rock, and then set a small chisel into the cut and tap it with a hammer, the rock will split.

I had a small, super colorful Rock Flower Anemone with it's foot in a hole in the middle of a good size rock completely covered with dull green zoas. It took a couple of cuts and chisel taps, but eventually I freed the RFA and put it in a pvc end cap. Now I have 30+ RFA in pvc end caps in the sand at the front of my 90g DT.

Great advice! Will give this a try. Thanks for the idea.
