Im about to move and have decided to leave behind and sell my 5ft tank. Ive got a new 2.5ft cube which will be much easier to take on the road with me, and i will set that up to be my new main tank, give mysepf some time to settle and plan another bigger tank in the future. I dont have too much livestock as ive sold most of my fish. I just have a few corals, clowns and a gig nem.

Its 8 hours+ drive and wondering if the best way to start the new tank would be to transport a few peices of live rock and some of the bakki rods from the established tank. Would the goods survive a trip that long or would i end up just putting ammonia into the new tank? Would it be ok to have some peices bagged sealed and posted up? Express only taking a day or 2.

Any thoughts or advice appreciated

Keep everything submerged and die off will be minimal if at all. I used 5 gallon buckets from Lowe’s. Put any live rock in a bucket of water and seal it up. Make sure the nem rides by himself. No fish... not even the clown. Corals can go in bags. You’ll be fine.
