I have 2 mp 40s one on each side of my 4ft tank running about 30% on reef crest. My tank also has 2 return heads in the middle.

My question is I'm showing some red algae on my rock work and sand bed and curious if I should crank them up some or if I should reposition them.
Any help would be great

If, by red algae, you mean cyano .... then, yes, more flow can help. Not so much that the sand gets all kicked around of course. FWIW, that’s an unwise way to be running the MP40 dryside. Cord up with some kind of anchor will keep it from hitting the floor.

Gotcha! Up the flow and see if the cyano gets reduced.

I say crank them up as high as you can to the point where if you went any higher it would move the sand. So you getting the most flow without any sand movement

Crank it up. I’m using 2 MP40s on opposite ends as well and I’m set at 60% reef crest on a 3 foot tank, so go for it!
