I have RS 350, 47” length x 20”x21”. I am using 2 of MP40 for the wavemaker, and will place on each of the side glass.

1. I like to have more flow toward the bottom since I have been having green cyano, is it better to put the MP40 right in the middle of the height of the glass?

2. what power usually good for sps tank for mp40, I am currently at 50% with mix of reef crest and lagoon

3. will Gyre mode wear out the MP40 quicker than the other modes?

4. what are good mode for sps?

Thanks in advance.

thanks

I think it all depends on your aquascape. MP40s can provide enough flow -- I only have one on one side my RSR350, with an Icecap gyre on the other -- but they have a clear shot to the other side of the tank. And 50% should be fine.

I like lagoon mode myself, but I don't have SPS in my tank.

I have the XL300 tank with 2 MP40s. I run then on the side glass about 3 inches below the surface. I run 38% intensity during the day in lagoon mode and 28% overnight.
