MP40 / tank thickness

Yeah, my tabs have come off many times. Once my dry side fell recently all the way to the floor and was damaged. My tank is painted and not sure if that is the issue or not. I wasn't sure if you did anything different or not. Still searching for ideas.

One of my 60s did the same thing. T considered trying a spray adhesive on the dry side but zip ties are working for now
