So gmoney, after having 2 mp40s, you think Tunze would be better. I am still on the fence, I am thinking about 2x Tunze 6105 with an Apex Controller.

I would say on a 180 2 mp60s would be preferable. I never used tunze so can't say. But for me I have to add extra powerheads to get flow I like so and run constant so kinda defeats purpose of vortechs and would be cheaper to add some non controllable tunze or koralias. If money no object id say get 2 mp60.

I will say I am being very picky about the flow. It is def more than adequate to grow sps. If I turn my return pump off the wave is like 4" and shakes my rocks. But when running its much.smaller movement. I thinks it must be the overflows messing with it.

did you have the MPs on the back? there is a program setpoint for 2 on the ends and 2 on the back....

I'm only selling to go with cheaper pumps and non controllable since I'm not getting the wave I want. New tunze controllables isn't any cheaper really and I'm sure vortechs have a much wider flow and maybe more control?

If u want you can come see the flow they give off and be easier to talk about pros and cons of each. I get a 2" wave while tank fully running. Just not that insane whipping motion I was looking for lol

Yea I tried them on back all program modes etc. Still not happy and need extra ph so might as well save some money on cheaper ph and get an apex lol
