IMO monti cap is pretty dang easy. Are your levels off?

Halides won't cause your Corals to not color up. Unless the bulb is old and has shifted spectrum.

Dave how is that vermiculata growing for you. I got one at the swap and while it has bulked up and encrusted a bit, it has not branched upwards yet

I'd say it grows about average. Mine was a small maricultured colony when I got it and it has doubled in size in about 4-5 months. Not as fast as the strawberry shortcake but much faster than say the RR avengers or banana lokani.
