Mula or Crispa?

Tried burying its foot in the sand, even with a cut out pipe to bury its foot into.

It settles for a while but has not yet stuck it's foot in place.

Eats frozen and pellets.

Not tried it directly on rock, as we thought it was a Malu.. help please

The short tentacles could mean Malu, but the anemone appears bleached, in which case shortened tentacles is common in bleached Crispa as well.

A picture of the underside/foot area would help decide between the two in this case.

First two are when in our QT

Last two from when we got it at the fish store.

We do believe now that he did attach when in the QT. I've tried wedging him so that his foot can go into a rock crevice.

An update, moved to rock into a crevice. Really wedged it in there. So far not moved.
