It settles for a while but has not yet stuck it's foot in place. Eats frozen and pellets. Not tried it directly on rock, as we thought it was a Malu.. help please

A picture of the underside/foot area would help decide between the two in this case.

We do believe now that he did attach when in the QT. I've tried wedging him so that his foot can go into a rock crevice.
