I have a mushroom that established itself on my glass. I was wondering if I tried to remove it from the glass with a fresh razor blade would it survive or should I just remove it and move on? If I did remove it from the glass would I need to place it on a plug or could I just rubber band it to a rock and it would reattach? It looks like it is splitting too?

I'd wait and see what happens. You can remove him and just let him find a new spot.

FYI you can't kill mushrooms....all you can do is accidentally frag them. :)

I don't mind waiting. It just makes cleaning the glass a little bit harder because I have to scoot around it. With that being said, I did just loose one of my fancy mushrooms because my conch decided to sit on top of it eating algae on the rocks above it. I let it be for a couple of days, and then I moved it and attached it to the rock and the next day it was melting away. :( tis the soft coral life I guess. Thank you for answering my question and for the information.
