With all the diseases and issues our corals and fish can succumb to sometimes it's too late to medicate if you have to order product that you need to treat a certain ailment. With that is mind, let's compose a list of items that are a must have on hand just in case!

So what would be in your reef first aid kit?

I am new so I have not ran into any diseases yet...but from what I understand the single most important thing is simply a quarantine tank. Something simple just to isolate the problem.

Tagging along so I can make sure I have everything ready for when disaster does strike.

Always have mixed saltwater ready to go. I try to have at least 15 gallons ready to go at any given time, just in case something were to happen or some one were to drop something in to my tank when I have people over.

Computer with internet! Reef2Reef on standby. There are so many different things that can pop up. You need the help of a community like this for help.
