Ok, so it's not going to actually have lobsters in it, but it used to!

This is going to be a slow build probably but I decided it's time to start the thread.

I got a Marineland ML24 110 gallon lobster tank for free! It's finally at my house.

I started leak testing and found that there is a slow leak at the return line where it is attached to the fiberglass bottom of the tank. I'm pretty sure I got it sealed up this morning. Next weekend I'm going to fill it back up for a couple of days to check the tank for more leaks, then if it's all good I'm going to fill the sump and run the pumps to make sure everything is operating as expected.

This tank is going to be basically run as a frag tank in the garage.

A frag tank in the garage... but with lobsters... Come on, you have to now.
It has the ability to insert to dividers, maybe lobsters in one third and frags in the rest!

Got two Noopsyche 140 watt K7 V3 lights for the tank. I'm hoping since it's a shallow tank that'll be enough.

I need to reseal the edges this evening and then fill it with water on Saturday. If all goes well, I'll be doing a test run on the pumps this weekend. Getting close!

Nice big chiller too. May be worth removing that so you don't eventually get a toxic glycol leak anywhere.
I'm not sure if I'm going to be running it. My garage is fairly well insulated and I run a lot of surface agitation, but I'll definitely keep an eye on it. Thanks!

It's resealed and filled to the brim. No drips overnight. Tested the overflows and no leaks. Need to drain it one more time tomorrow, then refill it and run it with the pumps. Getting close!

Why a divider? Let the shrimp roam free if you lose a thumb it happens
A divider to keep it separate from the coral frags and fish. Who cares about my thumb?

So far mine hasn’t hurt any fish or coral .. I just feed using turkey baster so it knows when it gets fed but it’s also not a mantis lol

That's not a mantis? What kind of shrimp is it?
