And that is a Reeflow hammerhead/barracuda gold hybrid correct? Did you have to dial it down at all or are you running that thing wide open?

Correct.

Wide open. I'm at about 13 feet of head pressure. As I mentioned before, I have reduced the pump outflow from 1.5 inches to 1 inch. There are three 90 degree elbows to each return, plus what I've diverted to the skimmer, carbon, and GFO reactors. After all that, I'm getting approximately 1600-1800 GPH to the display. The ghost overflow handles 2000 GPH, so I'm sitting ok right now.

I have 2 Gyre 150s in the display. So I don't need anywhere near 1600 GPH through the sump.

So I may dial it back. Or I could put in the Barracuda impeller. We'll see. Just playing around with everything at the moment.

But overall, I'm extremely pleased with this pump. Glad I bought it.

Hope that helps.

Holy crap 2 gyre150s I have only one in my 180

Yeahhhhhhh.......I might have over done it on that. Got a little buyer's remorse on the second one. The one gyre in there now is rocking the tank.

I think I'll put them in alternating mode and change the flow pattern every hour or so.

I think you need to add two MP40s one on the front and one on the back. That way your tank will rock is all directions. With all those fancy lights, making it look like a disco in the tank room, its only fair that your tank rocks appropriately :D

Ran romex through the ceiling. Mounted the downrods and cover plates. However, these rods are too long. I need to either cut them or just buy shorter ones.

Anyhow, I ran the romex through the right rod. Tomorrow, after I take care of the rod length, I'm going to wire the romex to the hidden outlets in the canopy. This is where the LEDs will plug in. All cords and wires will be out of sight.

Just FYI, the wire is not hot right now.

Just curious - are you planning adding more rock to the display or is that it? The structure you have there right now is very nicely put together!

I have about 20 pieces of rock in that piece there. Took about 2 days to build. I like it!
