After a week of casually filling and a whole di cartridge later the tank and sump is finally filled. (Going to mix salt in the sump). The whole setup runs fairly quiet except for the water spilling over the over flow, need to figure out how to quiet it down. I was thinking using some filter foam just above the waterline to take the splash. Hopefully in the next few days I'll get around to doing some final touches. I wired in 2 15amp circuits just to run the tank ( might have to pull new wire and bump them up to 20 amp circuits).
Right now the returns are 1" pipe completely open. Has anyone ever just left them open or should I be putting some kind of fitting over them?
