Hi all, my family moved into a new house in October of last year. Needed to do some renovations to keep the wife happy, now it's time to move onto a new tank. I have a friend who was getting out of the hobby and gave me a deal I couldn't pass up. Here it is, first moved into its new home.

My last tank had a pretty serious aptasia problem so I decided to muratic acid bath my rocks.

I then let the rock dry in the sun for a day or so.

Then on to scraping mock up.

Moved to execution. Also added 160# of Caribsea special grade dry sand.

Tank is circulating and ordered a bottle of Dr Tim's one and only to kickoff cycle. That should be here next week. I am going to follow Mr Saltwater Tank's version of adding a couple clowns for ammonia. Tank will be anemone/softie dominated. I currently have livestock in a 150 gallon Rubbermaid tub. My prize pieces being my large green Haddoni and smaller multi-color Gig. Those will be the center pieces and hope to add another carpet nem in the future. Thanks for following along and feedback is always appreciated!

Finally have everything moved out of the Rubbermaid tub and into the display. I haven't quite figured out how to take pics with the LEDs, so the pics aren't a true representation of color. Need to stock up and add some new things. Let me know what you think and thanks for looking. Onto the pics.

Looks amazing!! I love that Purple/Green Gig. It's absolutely massive!! Thanks for sharing! :)
~Matt
Thanks Matt...the Gig is about 6" in diameter. The Haddoni is about 18". I would love to add another Gig at some point and have my softies grow to mythic proportions. Need to also add a bunch of fish. Thanks for following along.

Long overdue update...tank has been cruising along. Settled into a maintenance routine. All corals and nems seem to have settled in. Had my Haddoni move, not exactly where I want it, but not in a bad spot either. Need to order some fish as I only have a pair of clowns and a kole tang. I had a power supply go out on me and can only get 3 of the 6 AI's to light. Should have the new power supply soon. Thanks for looking and let me know what you think.

Another monthly update...have continued bi-weekly 20 gallon water changes. Need to add some additional livestock, but life has gotten in the way of things and haven't had too many opportunities to do so. The darn Haddoni carpet keeps moving and can't find his happy place. He has killed a few thing in the wake of him moving. He has moved again from the spot in the pictures and can't get settled. Since replacing the power supply on a couple lights, he has gone on walk about trying to find some shade with no luck. Anyway, new pics and thanks for following along...

Another month gone by. I added a trio of Kupang/Azure Damsels and a Royal Gramma. They have adapted well and are eating frozen Mysis. I wanted to add a couple more fish, but haven't been able to decide what to get. My Haddoni has been on walkabout since I changed my lights and ended up getting chewed up by a Vortech. It looks like it will make it, but it took it pretty hard. Have been on a consistent maintenance schedule and corals continue growing. Hoping the added fish will add some NO3 and improve some of the colors of the corals. Thanks for following along and let me know what you think!

Been a while since my last update...not much has changed. I added a few acans and a yellow coris wrasse(who proceeded to be eaten by my Haddoni). I have too much green in the tank and need some contrasting colors. The Haddoni was in the same spot for about 2 months and decided to start moving this weekend again. I rearranged some corals so they wouldn't be in it's path. I have done bi-weekly water changes pretty consistently and have almost no algae buildup on the glass 2 weeks later. Nutrients have been hard to increase...need to add to my fish collection, but haven't had the time/desire to do so. Maybe seeing all the loot collected at Fragniappe(wasn't able to attend) will peak my interest. Let me know what you think...Thanks!

FTS 3/5/17

Left Side...Haddoni was settled where Yellow Figi Leather currently is(not anymore!)

Right Side... Gorgonian continues thriving.

Long overdue update...Tank is cruising along as kids have kept us super busy. Finally added a few more fish this weekend--orange Shoulder tang and Leopard Wrasse. I haven't seen the Leopard since intro a few days ago and hope she makes an appearance soon. Both fish were eating at the store and the Tang is eating everything I throw at it. My nems continue to thrive and are the real show pieces. I did pick up a Merten's nem a few months ago and it has finally settled in. Thanks for following along! Took some pics while doing some maintenance this morning...enjoy!

I think it looks great, I want to add a clown tang in the near future. Beautiful fish. Great looking tank.
