I have a sponge filter to increase surface area

I would get a good quality hob skimmer. Aquamax hob 1.5 is a really good one for that size. I would also get some more flow. A flame angel might be good in there too if you want to risk it.

Is that a hang on skimmer? I have one but I am looking into a sump so that would change the skimmer game

This.
My HOB 1.5 is a beast highly recommended.

Tank also seems kinda low in the rock department, but thats just me.

It’s definitely low but I don’t have a lot of fish so I hope that isn’t a problem ( might look into more rock )

I honestly don’t think sumps are too necessary for a tank that size because of all of the hob stuff. But it also depends on what you are going for

Just grow it: Have you ever added CO2 to your reef tank?
