Hi all!

Finally got a new camera and FickleFins talked me into doing a tank thread. This won't be exhaustive, but hopefully thorough. :)

I've had this tank up since June of last year, so approaching a year now. I'm extremely happy with it at this point. I've slowly worked my way into it and I feel as though maybe a new skimmer may be in line (an Octopus most likely), but everything else is doing great. Really, my current skimmer just needs to be cleaned, but you know... gotta have something to buy. :D

Ultimately, everything is controlled with an Aquatronica... I absolutely LOVE this unit! I can keep adding tanks by only adding powerbars. :)

Other equipment: CSS65, DIY kalk reactor (did wonders for my tank), 20g tall sump with refugium, quiet one 3600 (??) return, Aquatronica (does top off and pretty much all timings), and ReefGeek IceCap T5HO retrofit kit. I think thats about it.

My tank itself is a 45g tall with starphire on the front and sides. And yes, its a glass-cages tank. :D I'm very happy with it, though, and will never have another tank thats not starphire unless its a bowfront.

Its definitely a mixed reef. I'm just now getting into SPS after adding my T5s in January. I love zoas (originally why I was here ;) ), but I'm coming around to SPS. :)

I have a cleaner shrimp, three peppermint shrimp that breed like crazy, tons of astrea and nassarius vibex snails, a few blue leg hermits, a fighting conch, an emerald crab, a porcelain crab, and I think thats about it for inverts.

For fish, I have a pretty standard group. :) 2 ocellaris (from Matt, no less ;) ), 1 coral beauty, 1 royal gramma, and a mandarin.

Anyway, we need pics.

Ok, that should be enough for now. :) I'll add more as I go.

Enjoy!

Thanks Fickle, Rev. :)

JGoslee: I have to give credit where credit is due... it was my wife who shot the mandarin pics. :D

Thanks! Unfortunately, it was taken down around 2010 or so. I am presently working on a 180g, though. I've been out of the hobby for a few years and am trying to get back in. :)
