The Setup:
- Used 50 gal. plexi tank and stand. Was already used as a closed loop setup with holes predrilled for drain and return.
- Added a 700 GPH aquarium overflow box-surface skimmer
- Used sump tank for $60 on Facebook marketplace
- Two 4" ring slots for a 14" and 8" long filter socks
- Will replace the 8" sock with a filter media cup filled with coral rubble and disposable filter floss
- Bubble Magus BM-Curve 5 Protein Skimmer - (New)
- Currently running Jebao DCP - 5000 Sine Wave return pump - originally started with a Sicce Syncra SDC 6.0 Controllable DC pump that died after less than a months use. Took almost a month to get a replacement from Sicce. Jebao DCP - 5000 Sine Wave return pump bought from Amazon was emergency buy to keep tank running. Still going strong!
