I transitioned from a 75gal to this 60 cube. I really love cube tanks, the footprint provides so many options for aquascaping. The depth alone is what drove me to get a cube. This is also my first acrylic tank in all my years keeping a reef or FW fish.

So I started out building the stand

Then I covered it with Killz

Plumbing fun! I installed the BRS dual reactors inline with my return pump and also installed a line with a ball valve for a future frag tank

This is also the first tank i tried using filter socks. I make my own socks, and I also made the sock holder

Sand in and dust storm settled

Next up rockwork! I used mostly dry marco rocks. I had some rock cooking for about a year and I used one of those pieces, as well as a couple tonga branch pieces from the LFS

I picked up a Bubble Magus triple doser to keep my params a little more steady. This is one sweet piece of equipment, I wish I had one of these when I started.

It pulls alk and calcium from these stoppered jugs

and a couple holes in my sock holder work to hold the other ends

So after 8 months or so, my tank started to fill up. I decided to add that inline frag tank i had always wanted.

Supply for frag tank

I picked up 2 of these 18x18x16 cube tanks for $15. They have 1 hole drilled in the back which had been patched. The tank needed a little work

I also built a little stand for it

The corals looked great under it, but kind of became more pastel and I got a lot of cyano in the frag tank. So i replaced it with a 24" 4 bulb T5 fixture

Looks awesome! How do you like the BM Doser? I am thinking about adding one to my system.

Good luck with the contest!

Thanks! The BM doser is great, easily one of the top 3 things I have ever purchased for my tank. Its so easy to program and adjust if need be, plus my params are rock steady now.

Very good to hear, I am going to take the plunge! Btw, are those LA Lakers and Red Hornet colonies or look alikes? Either way, beautiful!

You won't be sorry! The red hornet colony is the real deal, the others are AOIs not LA Lakers :)

Sick set up! I have the very same brs dual chamber reactor and use the mj1200 that came with it when I bought it many moons ago. What do you have yours tied in to? Return pump or the down flow? Can't quite tell
