I can smell the concreate and salt now.

Hey now, me and the wife lived in a apartment for years before this house. Talk about tight quarters. Made saltwater in our second bathroom shower stall! Yes, I'm spoiled now, but I know how to squeeze a lemon dry! Lol

I know you are on the edges of your seats wait for the AWC to be posted

Almost done. Just have to wire the breakout bar, switches, program the Apex then I will be done.

If someone has the basic code for apex to program the switches, it would be much appreciated

For you @Fudsey Thank you for the Idea

Tahda Auto water change is up and running. Since all you slackers did not answer my #Apex questions:oops::p:D no video for you!!

I am looking to write a conductivity statement for the DOS, if the salinity is above 33.2 the new saltwater stops dosing and the old saltwater keep with drawing water so that the ATO brings the conductivity back in line. @Fudsey this will answer your question to why I would like my conductivity reading to read correct ;):)

I am also looking for a statement for timed intervals for my powerhead/stirrer in the new AWC reservoir to cycle twice a day for 30 minutes.

@Chrisfish Mama was on the Mac all day no video;)

Everything is falling slowly, which is a good thing.
Jeffery,
Looking good and glad things are coming together.

(lol)
I've never typed Apex code.
I did talk to Terence about turning my DOS pump into the cal reactor's feed pump.
He said it could be done, but the code would be nutz

:)

You and me both, I have not ever been good at code:rolleyes:

Lol you should be very glad I didn’t attempt to answer your apex question :D Glad you got everything up and running SINCE IT IS SUNDAY ;).

Someone asked a few days ago "why I would like my Apex probes to be calibrated right"

To answer that question; have a controller with probes can be a great thing if setup of properly and everything is calibrated properly. Let take conductivity for example, and I am discovering this and very excited after setting up my Auto Water Change. For the past two years since I installed my controller I have watched my conductivity and made sure the conductivity would stay the same. I will say it again, that I watch to make sure the conductivity stayed the same. Since I now have a ATO, New Saltwater reserve, and a doser connected to the controller I do not have to watch anymore, just check and set alarms.

Let's say my salinity/conductivity starts creeping up because I mix to much salt in my saltwater reserve, my mineral salts from component 3+ is elevating the conductivity, or evaporation. The doser along with the controller set up with the correct statement can not adjust my salinity/conductivity automatically to keep my number more consistent. They there will be the other side that will say "what if" that is why there are alarms and notification:)

This is all happening with a AWC now in place,
No more bucketing water around the house,
No big mixing station,
No more draining the sump and leaving the drain open by accident,
No more being distracted and forgetting that the sump is dry during a water change:rolleyes:
The list could go on.

I have also been asked and read, "why do I need a controller?" No one really tells you why the answer I got when I ask " is for piece of mind" no more no less information. Which is kind of true but that is not telling me or us why a controller is to nice. how about having a life beside being chained to reefing before it become a burden, should be the answer. I have had my controller sometime now as I stated above and I am just realizing what I can do and realizing why the push for automated testing is the next big step to reef automation.

If someone were to ask me now?
Feeding
Manitance
Auto water changes
Adjusting conductivity
Sensors for water levels and controlling different equipment .
Sensors for alarms to notify us when something needs to be looked at.
Adjust PH
Adjust Temperture
Adjust parameters
Controlling lighting
Controlling flow
Controlling reactor

I will discover more as this journey with a controller goes on, but I thought I would share this and may come back to this later a elaverate

Also, I am glad I put the drain in;)
