I have a little issue going on with some RTN on my monti and my birds nests. This is most likely stemming from the two high alk swings and also the auto water change. I have turned down the dosing to 36 ml daily of the 1+2+3+ this should bring the alk back in line and I will adjust the rest of the dosing in accordance to the parameters.

Alk has been all over the place but now finally dropping again to 9.2 today. I am now dosing 16 ml daily of 1+2+3+, I will have to adjust up most likely when the alk gets back to 8.3 to 8.5

I have some unhappy corals, monti especially and my birds two birds nests.

I will get some pictures tomorrow.

Alk is 9.1 hopefully the akl is below 9 tomorrow and then I will no that I am on the right track.

I need to do a cleaning tomorrow, test on of my switches that is open but says it is closed

I want to say thank you to Doug over at @AquaFX I purchased a RO/DI booster pump and a ASO valve and was having issue with the install and Doug walked me right through it. With this whole setup my RO/DI shuts down when the float of the lines are dead headed with the waste water also shutting down. It was taking me 1.5 hour to draw 4 gallon when it should have taken 1 hour, then pump makes things so much faster

I had a craving for a bagel sandwich with steak egg and cheese and I need sandwich bread for lunch. The bagel and a sourdough base and the french bread has so much for flavor then store bought.

Corals are really distressed with the overdosing and parameter swings. I am going to almost stop dosing 1+2+3+ and see what happens.

Ordered and received the Hanna digital refractometer. I have been running a low salinity. I added 600grams of salt yesterday and tested this afternoon and I was still at 1.024 added another 600grams and at 1.o25. I must have been sitting at 1.023.

The only thing I have heard/read negative about the Hanna is that is has to be calibrated every time one turns it on to use it. I see no problem with that.

No reason, it seems that most use the Malwaukee for price and I wanted to try the Hanna since I like the checker so much. I talked to Hanna and Hanna would not come down on price so I purchased through Marine depot for $5 less
