My 75 Gallon SPS dominated Peninsula setup

I will hook you up with a hunk of chaeto this weekend when you come by. It's time to trim it back anyway. I think even more than the fuge I attribute my success t consistency. Try to keep every aspect of your tank as constant as you can.

Thanks Mitch,

I try to stay consistent with dosing, water changes, and cleaning and it has made a big difference compared to my old routine. I wish I knew that when I started. I emailed you about this sunday. I'm not sure on an exact time but I will call you as were heading out so you don't have to wait around all day. It will be in the afternoon. I'm excited to see the tank again in person.

Thanks a bunch mja. Like I said, I do the best I can. I need to shoot some pictures of "the other end" of the tank, maybe today. It's just not nearly as appealing to me, so it tends to get ignored. Pics will follow though.

Okay Skins, you asked about the other end. Like I said, I'm not nearly as thrilled by it, but here are a few pictures just for fun. There are a few varieties of cockroach-like palys that I need to Kalk soon. They have grown a bit out of control.

That last one is a big ole colony of Bali Superman Monti, it's just colored down because of the lower light of that end of the tank.

I got to go see this tank in person today and I have got to brag about it. It's amazing. I was even lucky enough to take a few pieces of it home with me. I felt like I went to a theme park and got to bring home souviniers lol.

Coming along real nice Mitch! Although you should nuke those brown palys before they take over, they are real bad news.

I got my camera out and popped a few pictures of random corals this evening and figured I would post some. Just a few frags. Please excuse the coralline on the glass. I need to scrape.

My rare ORANGE Acropora.

Check out this unknown Acro I grew out of a completely brown frag. From the tips to the base it goes Deep Blue to Pink, next is Vivid Yellow to a Teal Green base.

First, DON'T GIVE ME ANY CRAP!!!!! I have cyano and green film on my sandbed. I clamped down on how much the auto-feeder is dumping every night. I really need a handful of nassarius snails....

Anyway.....The real reason I wanted to post tonight is because I got my camera out this evening....go figger....

I wanted to show the frag that I bought for Oregon Tort. I got it from WorldWide Corals and I paid too much but I really wanted it. Anyway, I got it on 1/3/10 and here it was that day after acclimating:

And here it is now, just over a year (2/7/11) Not bad for a world Famously slow grower:

And my little Acropora nasuta, it's getting really subtle but insane coloration. Check out those blue tip polyps!

Man you have some sweet SPS's growing in there! Did you soil yourself when you dropped the Bonsai? LOL I know I would have!

Well.................no.............I didn't....what I did do was grab the bigger pieces and put them together as a major colony frag for the buyer who was at the house!!!!!

It still needs to chill out a little, it browned a bit when I threw it across the room!!!!

Nope, he just stood there watching it all happen......with his jaw hitting the floor!!!!!!

His surprise frag had like 7 or 8 vertical limbs with two pieces horizontal at the bases. Instant encrust and colonize!
