My 75 Gallon SPS dominated Peninsula setup

MITCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have not talk to you in a while man. I miss the tank. It is looking awesome since the last time I saw it before you moved it. Eveything looks like it is growing good. I need to get some of those pinwheel zoas off you. My tank has finally recovered from the crash.

Yup...Well, the lights are going off and the second frag isn't open yet, so I will let the cat out of the bag...the frag is 3 Rastas...the real deal too...I had a great day today!

Score! Rastas are awesome! They grow pretty quickly too!

What's the name of that little fish you have that's always upside down?

Your tank looks very nice!! nice and clean!! What is your maintance ? Also what camera are you using? Nice crisp shots!! Looks like you are getting some good growth in the SPS!!! MORE PICS!! And of your equipment also!!!
Dave

Thanks a lot everybody. Dave, I don't do near as much maintenance as I should. The Skimmer cup is drilled with a drained and it runs to a 2 Liter Dr. Pepper bottle. I use Oceans Blend 2-part on a dosing system as well as Oceans Blend Magnesium and Strontium and don't test as often as I should. My fuge really keeps the water scrubbed. I feed pellets when I think about it and the rocks and the fuge are crawling with pods. I clean the glass when it bothers me and hardly ever do water changes. I guess it's just your typical lazy reefer's system.

My camera is a nice point and shoot, a Canon SX100 is. I shoot all of them handheld and have digital zoom turned off. I use the Macro setting on all my shots. They are all taken without flash, just using the tank lighting. I'm 53 years old and my hands shake like leaves in a windstorm, but when I point the camera they just steady right out. It's also a lot of creative cropping.

I wanted to post a couple of new pics that I just clicked.
Here are the new Rastas...they are tiny!

This is a frag of an Acropora millepora, can't remember the name, it's either a Watermelon or a Rainbow or something, it's just starting to grow good

My little mini-colony of ORA Hawkins Blue Echinata. This got hurt in my RTN Storm the beginning of August, but it pulled through
IMG_3593.jpg

And the WWC Frankenberry Monti is already starting to grow down the tile. I just got it like 3 weeks ago!

Just wanted to post a few more random pictures from my collection. Some of these are rather old and a few are things I may not have anymore, but they were all taken in this tank....

Like I said before, I shoot all my pictures hand-held and never shut off my pumps for pictures....they might come out better if I did, but they make me happy like they are....

I met up with a friend this evening and did another swap...got some nice frags. Please excuse the new frags' appearance. They are all just placed in the water and the Acroporae are actually still in the Quarantene / Dip tank.

I already had this Pokerstar Montipora
IMG_3621.jpg

Now I added a Reverse Pokerstar!

A nice big frag of Lime In The Sky Acropora loisettae

Small frag of Lemon-Lime Acropora echinata

And a nice piece of Teal Acropora tortuosa
IMG_3612.jpg

I will inspect the Acros at 10X magnification tomorrow morning then in the tank along with the already inspected Monti. Let's give them a few weeks to get all colored up and then see how they look!

Nice additions bud! When I frag my pink milli, you got a piece comin your way!

I will rip you a nice hunk of the pinks. They have really been spreading out onto the sanb bed. That makes fragging really easy!!!!

A friend was over this evening and asked about my little DIY Top-down camera adapter. I hooked it up and snapped a few shots to show how well it works. Well, they turned out pretty good, so I will post them up.

Yeah, it's really sick....here is a closeup of it when I first got it

I sure was glad to have it in my QT!!!!

Like I said, Thank Goodness for Quarantine Tanks! Nothing a nice 12 hour Interceptor dip didn't fix. I believe the "now" picture speaks well for it!
