Wow we are very far behind

Ok so I'll try to bring us up to speed

Looks like the last post was about the plumbing

So I wanted a floating canopy a real life floating canopy and to not be able to see any wires as wires stink

It's hard not a lot of info out there a lot of people hang it from their ceiling but no info on hanging it from the wall. So I thought on it for a while. @Dubs83 wanted to kinda hang his lights the same way so I shared with him my idea. And he took it to another level. And I then used some of his ideas as well. So my floating canopy is amazing to say the least. I can fully take it apart to change out bulbs. I decided on putting a 2x6 on the other side of the wall and held it in place with gas pipe and gas pipe fittings. So here are the pictures that people will look at.

All up
IMG_0996.JPG

No here is what I'm most proud of I can take the top part off which holds the lights just by disconecting some power wires
IMG_0997.JPG
this is a little x rated because it's topless
IMG_0994.JPG
and here is the top out and ready to work on
IMG_1005.JPG

And the piece of wood that is holding up my canopy with my light ballast on it. The two pvc pipes on both sides are for my returns thru the sea swirls.

At this time I still have the ghetto garage tank up and running.
We went out for sushi and when we came back mag had passed away.

He jumped something scared him and I was so mad he was so beautiful.
IMG_1256.JPG
He is gone but not forgotten

At this point it was onto plumbing the return pumps and then a rockscape then add the fish.

So that will be coming up shortly just got my battle box dropped off from @Battlecorals can't wait so I don't know if I shared this photo but to me this just cracks me up why why is she in a sink and enjoying it so much

Alright moving in the right direction

I am using two vectra m1's as returns
Thru two sea swirls
one goes under my shelf and then up over thru a wall then a sea swirl
the other goes straight up ted into a manifold I don't particularly like or dislike and over thru the wall to the left sea swirl.
Wow u read that should have just scrolled down for the pictures

Pretty self explainatory questions cares or concerns just ask
I kept the pipe at 3/4 because well I have two vectra m1 on a 90 I'm not doing this for the turnover I'm doing it for redundancy but in saying that I have both of the pumps at 80% so I do have flow.

Ok I'm busy this was fun we will do it again another time

@scott021467 just came over today to video my tank for his YouTube channel. Had a blast the video should be up soonish Scott claims my tank is worth three episodes he's the boss so I believe him I would have been happy with two mins but he said no it's to good of a tank.

Everyone tells me who see my tank in real life that my pictures do not do my tank justice and I agree so hopefully with Scott's video everyone can see my tank the way I do everyday and enjoy my little piece of the ocean on his YouTube channel.

Couple of thank you's for my tank being able to look as good as it does.

@tsm corals for always having the best fish around
@Battlecorals and @aquavista99 your corals are amazing and it shows in my tank.

@locito277 for the Oregon tort that is front stage in my tank

Plenty of other people in this hobby as well Tulio at reefbrite and everyone who has let me pick their brain to make my system the way it is thank you so much and the knowledge I've learned from this website is priceless.

Thanks again Scott for taking time out of this holiday weekend to video my tank I had a blast and can't wait for the three month update.

As soon as the video is up I'll add it on this thread. For everyone to enjoy. Also check out scotts other videos on youtube

Set up on the First day

And well let's just say it looks a little bit better then that now
IMG_2175.JPG

And aquavista the Pink Floyd came in awesome and with in an hour of acclimation was like the coral was always in the tank thanks for that drop ship. And the freebies as well. Order from him people he's the best.

And don't worry Scott got some close up pics of my cat. As I know half of u who follow this thread only care about the cat

Have a happy holiday weekend
