Hi

I have started into the reefing hobby in February 2024 and have since learned and enjoyed it a lot. I have a 40 gallon tank and am quite happy with it.

My tank currently hosts:
1 clownfish
1 Centropyge bispinosa
1 mandarin fish
1 anemone crab
1 shrimp
a couple of snails
a couple of different corals such as pulsing xenia
and the reason for this post:
1 bubble tip anemone.

I got the anemone in April and it thrived, living on top of the left stone.
However since November its tentacles seemed to be less and less extended and in December she started to move around the tank, but did never settle for more than three days.

Here is my routine:
- Daily feeding of mysis (including the anomene, which at the beginning ate greedily and now barely reacts when given food)
- weekly 20% water change
- For lights I use two prime 16 hd reefing lights

My fish and the corals thrive and grow, but the anemone seems to go downhill with no improvement in sight. Do you guys have any ideas?

The first two pictures are from august, the other two are from yesterday.

It's the prime lighting. I have seen it time and time again with prime lighting and high blue intensity.

For me, the Blues were always the secondary lighting. More full spectrum daylight was the primary.

Shrimps regularly steal food from nem, not killing it, but bothering it and interrupting processes.
