I started this build just after joining R2R.
Some of you said i should make a build page so here it goes. This us a father son project with my 13 year old. The main is a 100 gal and a 40b for the sump. I will post pictures of all and try to make frequent additions. If any of you have advise, please let me know.

This is our first batch of "agro-crete". Im happy about how it turned out with the exception of the color.

Son learned how to use the radial arm saw, tape mesure, and the krieg jig. The space off the back is a built in plumbing chase.

I chose Pi , because its gives me full blown linux system , which in turn gives me the ability to use high level languages (reef-pi is written in go) , and lot other functionalities (reef-pi has a built in web server, which provides the Web UI). Doing the same would involve lot more C code in arduino, also I'll be limited by memory/processing power.

Awesome my 2.5 year old started a reboot build of her 6 gallon eclipse it was running great an it had a heater malfunction (I think she turned it up)
And the stock filter took a dive. Going to so a pico build thread soon too. She loves to help test and shake the test tubes. [emoji12]

Drilled the coast to coast bulkheads this weekend. Found i need to add 2" to the depth of the stand for plumbing. Put in 20 hours of OT this week so its slow going.

Had it up and running 14 days ago. In addition to my homemade rock there is a smallish piece of live rock. I am hoping that the coraline algae will spread. The sand bed is a Caribsea live. The cloudy water cleared up over night but i still had to knock dust off the glass once it was done.

Added 2 clowns an this hairy mushroom. The mushroom seems to have stressed a bit and got this mucus all over it self. It seems to have cleared up a ton over night so I think we are in the clear.
