I lurk a bunch and figured I’d start a build thread. I titled the thread as “built” because I’m 99% done(for now). Fish are swimming and coral is growing. I’ll try to dig up pics and post chronologically if this thread gets any action.

Tank is 150 gallon Glass Cages
40 gallon sump
Softy dominated

I’ll try to get some pics up later.

I siliconed the C2C overflow. Glass cages drilled the tank for a beananimal. I’ve drilled a couple tanks in the past but I wasn’t going to take the risk on this one.

Taped up to paint the back panel.

Did the 40b have the capacity to hold the water incase of power outage?

Yes sir.

I made sure my return pipe was high enough in the DT to break the siphon. It’s close...I have about an inch to spare.

I have a 40b on my 108 and i barely have about sn inch when power off. Planning on using the same sump for my 160g but keep wondering if it will over flow

I did some rough math. Add up the volume of water that will siphon from the return, water in the pipes, overflow, etc.
