Update: I was contacted by CDA yesterday stating I should be contacted by the shipping company in the next few days.

I was just contacted by the company and they state tank will arrive on Tuesday, the company told me that the driver will not allow me to inspect the contents unless there is visual damage on the outside of the crate.

not to confidant in how the delivery will go. I just hope it arrives undamaged.

I've heard CDA takes real good care of the customer if issues arise. Just document it with lots of pictures when it arrives and as you unbox it.

Did you contact CDA with what the delivery company said? I'd inquire about what to do if there is physical damage to the crate. They may tell you to not accept delivery.

The crate my CDA tank arrived it was built like a tank...LITERALLY. Look forward to seeing your tank.

I did get guidance from CDA on how to proceed upon of arrival of tank. I don’t think I would be as worried if communication was more consistent from CDA.

If tank arrives as ordered and does not leak my only complaint will be communication. I’m sure that will fade the more I dig into the build.

overall I don’t regret going with CDA at all at this point. Based on communication from other manufactures during quotes I suspect this is common in the tank building world.

Also given the delays I feel CDA has taken care of me and did some things they didn’t have to do to make it right.

So I’m conflicted…..
Stand looks amazing and they added side doors with our charging me extra. Super happy about that. How ever there are some blemishes on the tank that dont think are from shipping and of course they are on the front. Really not sure if I should even say anything or just suck it up

I know how much my tank cost, they'd be picking that back up personally. Or a hefty reimbursement. I don't understand that whole joint/eurobracing picture. Is that smudges or reflection in the corner of the top front pane? Did they take a file to the top eurobrace and not polish it?

It’s like they started to grind it and change there mind.

Of course, sometimes minor blemishes aren’t a distraction to the eye when the tank is filled with water and rock and has ‘things going on’ in everyday use. But that second to last photo in post #30— is that a chip and shatter/impact marks to the edge of a panel?

Just a tiny chip, but of course it’s on the front. The stand will actually hide this, but it’s the principle of it.

Well on the whole, allow me to help you feel better. If you are sure the small chip is in no way structural— plus it’s going to be hidden by the stand— and the other issues are that little rough polish-job on that one eurobrace and some stray silicone tails, I’d say fire that baby up and start enjoying it!! I definitely have that bit of perfectionism in me as well— and “Tank Day” is a huge thing— but I overlooked a little of this-and-that short of tank perfection too; I think we all do. Perfection in a glass product probably comes at a $PRICE$ few of us realistically are willing to pay. Once you get your fish in there, you’re mind won’t have time to say ‘look at that eurobrace.’ (But as to the principle of the thing... I completely get it.)
