My Deep Blue shallow 24x24x12

Awesome tank,gotta love the rimless look.Have one question for ya.Everytime I clean my deep blue 75 I have water splash up over the edge and run down the outside of the tank when the cleaning magnet is at the top.Thanks

I do not have a rimless so I cannot speak from experience but if you move the magnet slowly along the top would that not prevent the spill you are referring to? Have you tried using a Magic Eraser Sponge (original or extra power not the other ones that are available). That should IMO prevent the spill .. just saying ... And the slower you go IMO the less the chance is that there will be water splashing over the top.

No I am leaving them in the display. My chihuahuas are my kids they give me and the wife a lot of joy.

I know what you mean .. with 3 dogs and 2 cats I feel the same but the tank is a joy as well, it just requires more attention and maintenance than our pooches, dogs and cats to keep it in top shape. Regular and thorough maintenance and cleaning keeps unwanted nutrient levels down and the water chemistry in tip top shape IME. Slacking off on it is what eventually leads to problems and sometimes sooner than later. My new book deals with that in great details. And the smaller the tank the more important it is IME.

Yes those tanks sure look great, not sure if that one is Starphire glass but if it is that is even better as no green tint anywhere

Love that Goby sticking his head out and yes your mangroves are doing great .. how long are the roots? Are there many and are they thin or thicker already from what they were?

My LFS sold me the mangroves from a established tank. The roots were nice and thick when I got them. Now 2 months later they are in the sand and have TONS of tiny hair like roots on them. Each plant has sprouted 2 new leaves. Must be all that Miracle grow I dump in the tank. LoL

Doing great then, and nice leaf growth too. If you see salt encrustaceans on them , wipe the leaves with some freshwater ...

Well installed the new sump today. Cleaned a few things up in the cabinet.
Went from this acrylic sump

To is new glass sump with built in ATO resevoir.
