Well I wanted a larger frag rack without legs and wanted to use magnets!
Unsure of what magnets to use, thanks to many users on the forum, I decided on these for the inside.
cPath_2 | products_id_319 | 1 in. x 5/8 in. Ceramic Disc Magnet, Grade C8 - Applied Magnets & WindMax Wind Turbines
...and these for the outside.
products_id_664 | Epoxy-Ni-Cu-Ni Coated 3/4 in x 1/4 in Thick, Grade N42, Rare Earth Neodymium Disc Magnets - Applied Magnets & WindMax Wind Turbines

ANYWAY by using ceramic for the inside it's basically 'plug and play' so no special coating required :)
I used this superglue to glue the rack to the egg crate...
It actually melted the eggcrate to my magnet.

Alright now pictures!

I used my magnet washers to keep the magnet from directly touching the glass on the outside, like so...

I had only glued the magnets on one side, on the other I put magnets under the eggcrate just to help lift it up.

I am making one more then a few corner ones :)
Will be utilizing the space on the bottom as well!

Very cool.
A clean looking project.
Way to go!

Looks good, very handy to be able to move them up and down.

Very nice .. Thanks for sharing might ordered those magnets

Where did you get the ceramic structure in the tank? It looks almost identical to one my worker made but smaller. Almost like they used one of my pictures to copy it. It's all good. But I would like to know who made it.

I know you commented on how nice mine look. Then I see something just like it in your tank so I begin to wonder.

Yes approval from the masta!
If it wasn't for a few suggestions you made IDK how this would have turned out :)

I totally agree, I think it will make maintenace a-lot easier.

They are strong man! The smaller ones have are kind of hard to take apart, makes for fun during a boring day at work. haha

I found something the other day at a Micheals craft store you might find useful, if you end up making more.
I was looking for something I could put on magnets to protect acrylic from any rough edges on outside magnets.
It was a sheet of 1/8th" thick felt with a peel and stick back.
It was 12" x12" for $1.

Nice idea! I wanted to make some but was worried about the epoxy breaking down. Gonna have to order me some magnets!!

That would work great for Acrylic or glass man! I would have used it, I have extra felt from my pirahna float, but I thought of how when it gets wet and how often I would have to change them compared to plastic. The plastic ones should last forever on my glass tank :)
Good luck if you build one! It's fun!

I was thinking just for the outside magnets.
They shouldn't get wet.
But plastic will last forever
