My first clam !

Got a bargain on this guy last week, not sure of the color, looks gold/black lol but it's cool also not sure if it's a maxima or what . What do you guys think ?

That's one nice looking clam! The shell will confirm the species. If it has scallops or scutes on the sides - it's a maxima.

Awesome yes it's a maxima, didnt know you can ID by shell I always looked st mantle
