Hi Y'all!
Today I thought I'd finally share my progress on my first reef tank, I have a lot of freshwater experience but I am completely new to saltwater so the entire first month has been a brand new experience. For my tank, I decided to go with the 40 gallon cube from Aquatop. picked this tank because the all in one design just seemed easier to care for when I'm away at college.

As of right now the Tank only has three fish, those being a 6 lined wrasse, a black and white snowflake clown and a yellow watchman goby, I'm not sure what other fish I want to add but I'm thinking maybe 1 or 2 more, I'm trying to keep the bioload low so it will be easier to maintain. For my cleanup crew, I have an emerald crab and 3 scarlet hermits. And finally, for corals, I have two zoanthid frags and a frag of green star polyps. Here are some pictures of my setup!

For future plans, I was thinking about buying a pre-made rock with holes for frag plugs and starting a small zoa garden, and picking up these 6 frags from Legendary Corals, I want to stick with hardy corals for the most part because I wont be home much so my parents will be monitoring the tank and they dont want to have to regularly dose chemicals or them to feel bad if something goes wrong.

As for future additions, I would love to get some recommendations for easy and low maintenance corals, some more members for my cleanup crew, and another fish or two. Thank you for tanking the time to read this! I'll update you all later this week!

Hi,

Tanks looking good. Down the road I alway say hammer coral are fairly easy, but others have hard times. But I can’t grow zoa where everyone else seems to be able to so go figure. I personally like Acan.

Did you give up on the cardinals? I was going to mention getting a pair and not 3. This way you could get a make and female and breed if you wanted to.

keep updated whatever you decide
