I am not sure what is going on but i have a 93 gallon cube all the fish have been in there for over 6 months. Yesterday I noticed my mimic tang hanging out at the top and i also noticed it looked like his skin was shedding? This morning he was dead. Now my lawnmower blenny is dead and the rest of the fish are acting weird. Anyone know what would cause this??

Someone said if there is a short in something that would cause an electrical current in the tank??

Kinda hard to tell from the photos but it almost looks like brook or a bacterial infection. Day light shots are the best for photos so we can see what’s actually going on. Blue lights show everything little imperfection and can throw us off a little.

Yes do you suspect something is leaking current into the tank?

Can you take more pictures? Are those white spots on the tang?

Did you add anything new to the tank in the last week or so?

Did you test ammonia?

I think it looks like the brooks disease. I cant remember the correct name . I am so upset. I just did a water change the other day . I will test for stray voltage. Does anyone know how that effects the fish?

I am so sorry for the loss of some of your fish! Totally devastating! Pics would be great as others said in helping you out! Also, when was the last time you added anything wet.... including corals and inverts?

Well i dont have any pics of the three that died already except the tang. The clowns are acting weird. It is more of a behavioral thing at this point. This is how the other three were acting before they died.

I think you need to remove all remaining fish to hospital tank. All of the most likely culprits (velvet, Brook) need to be treated away from invertebrates. Be sure to (generously) use media from your DT to bio filter the QT.

Is it possible that you somehow got a contaminated batch of new seawater for your water change?
