I rarely see my pistol shrimp fully. only tentacles, snapping sound and part of its body.

do you have corals? how are they reacting? If not, turn the brightness down so the creatures feel comfortable, and if desired ramp up the intensity of the lighting slowly over the course of 2 weeks or so, so they can acclimate to how bright their new "sun" is.

Ihhh ok thank you, I’ll be getting corals sometime next week. Do you have any begginer recommendations, I was thinking of zoas and hammer to start. I also want to get an anenome any tips for that?

I wouldn't recommend a hammer to start. Zoas can be hardy. Candy canes/trumpets are also good starter corals in my opinion.

For anemones, they do best in systems that are relatively mature and very stable. 1 year of stability and success growing corals is usually a good indicator that your system can comfortably support an anemone. Bubbletip anemones are going to be the hardiest and least demanding for light and flow.

Oh, the tank I have is used and has been running for 3 years now, same substrate and rocks. Would I still have to wait a year to add a bubble tip nem, or would it be ok to add after a couple of months of corals.

if you're able to keep an LPS coral such as a candy cane or hammer happy for 2-3 months, I'd venture to say you can handle a nem! I assumed your tank was newer.
