My funky growing Space Invader Pectinia

Just wondering if anybody has a Space Invader that grows like mine does and if you ever see it inflate like the pics and do what I believe it's doing, pooping? 1st pic is how it's growing and looking in it's normal state and the other ones what it does around once a month or so. Its around the size of a tennis ball.

I've had this guy for a couple years when it was a 1 eyed frag and in the last 6 months has been growing quicker than ever and thats around how long ago it started relieving itself.

That eel is fierce. Wondering w here it was. lol
 
How has that eel not accidentally taken a chunk out of any of those fish? That's wild! You could lose a limb in that tank. ;-)
 
My lfs wants to buy it, they couldn't explain it either, was wondering if anyone else had one that grew like that and pooped like that as I'm sure a ton of members have space invaders. My other pectinia although different grows and acts normal.

Are you positive that's a pectina?
