I bought an ATI Dimmable Sunpower 6X24 fixture and couldn't find a lot on mounting this thing. So I stole some ideas from forums and friends and this is what I came up with. Tell me what you think.

Started with 30" 2x7 piece of wood. Sanded it down and used some spray on stain.

Here is the metal pipes "conduit" I used for the hangers, I guess we'll call it an industrial look. Picked up all this stuff at Home Depot. About $40 for everything.

Just a few progression pics up until the finished product.

How are the hanging strings/wires attached to the rods? Can't see a good view of this

It looks to me that he only used 1 of the strings...........

Yup Exactly! just used one wire and hung it over the top of the bars. Keeps me from having to adjust both sides when the time comes to lowing the light closer to the water.

Thanks for all the kind words!

Looks great. If I were to get the similar ATI fixture that you have here, did they suggest it be about 12" above the water? Is that about how high it is from the water?

Yeah it's really close. I think it's 11" I will lower an inch a week until I get to 7" and then I'll call it good. Some people like to go as low as 5" but I've got some SPS that are pretty high up.
