I posted a poll question. I can't be alone in this, although he thinks I'm nuts. I have named my fish (and shrimp) Nothing elaborate or super creative, but they deserve names after all. If you do share my mental illness, what have christened "wet pets"

I named my algae Blenny 'Jurassic'; that's the only one with a name so far.

some corals have names, at least the kids call them things.... I can't keep up with it though....

Inverts 'all' have names.... or they do according to my kids.

LOL, my wife calls the Copperband "Rubberband", the Kole tang is "Brighteyes", the anthias are "Antsypants", the Royal Gramma is "Grandma", the Clownfish are the "Jokers", the Blue Chromis are the "Commies", the Kupang damsel is the "Other commie", the Yellow tang is "Ole Yeller", the Flame angel is that "Fireball Whiskey fish" and the Foxface is "Big fat pig"!

In the Genesis garden account the first man was supposed to name all of the animals. Since the fall, men have become lazy so their companions have to do many of these neglected chores. You are not crazy, you are just picking up the slack for your husband.

I only name the fish when they attack me when I’m reaching into their tank.

I've never named my fish except for a nickname I gave my huge Maroon Clownfish. And I can't say the word on R2R,but it rhymes with hunt. (She was mean and bit me a lot lol)

I've always just let other people name them. Then I forget what name they picked and someone else comes along and names them again. My fish likely go thought many stages of identity crisis.

Shouldn't the CBB be Copper and the foxface Todd? . My CBB was named Beaker.

I have named a few of my fish, usually for unusual habits or behaviors they have. My black cap basslet is named Gobe (short for goby) because he is constantly moving sand like a watchman goby. My Exquisite wrasse is named Steve Martin (because he's a jerk...from the movie....I like Steve Martin).
