I've got some new hydra 32s on my tank only one on my 4ftlong by 24 high. Wanted to know if my light setting are correct for my reef tank.kinda new to this.I have them set to come on 11am to 7PM every day run light spectrum royal blue140 blue 70 white 30.wanted to know if that spectrum is ok to leave like that for proper reef growth and my fish.tank has been running for two months an the three coral that I have in my tank seem to be doing well at that light settings.just want to set lights were they need to be an leave it.dont want to keep switching around.Any suggestions from experienced people with the hydra 32s light settings for reef would be much appreciated.simple comments only please.

I run my 32s at 100% on all blue and uv, 5% on red and green and 30% on whites for 9 hours with a 30 minute ramp up/down. Everything is happy and getting growth on my acros.

Im no expert in LED lighting so keep than in mind and in no way are my methods perfect. I did however setup my lights with a PAR meter along with using the BRS videos as guideline for settings. 100% on all blue and UV channels with a little green a red and whites to your liking provides the best spectrum blend for coral health.

If I were you, I would set the ramp time to at least an hour, my animals seem to enjoy a more gradual wake-up. Other than that, the setup looks good! You could maybe make the sunrise a bit earlier, but that is just personal preference.
Good luck, and God bless!

@Ryanbarilics and @DesertReefT4r do you have covers on your tanks? I have a 120G that’s around 24” deep and I’m thinking about new Hyrdas. But want to make sure I can get to around 100Par on the sand.

thanks in advance
