my mandarin gobi is dying

so I have a purple tip Haitian anemone
and somehow my gobi fish was next to it now it barely wants to move ,and some white stuff started growing up his skin. I think it might have got stung or was just second channel can somebody tell me what they think could have happened I thought gobi fish are reef safe

If the anemone is white with purple tips its probably a Condylactus Anemone, they pack a potent sting. Sounds like your madarian is already dead. They also require a very healthy copepod population to help them survive

@ShakeyGizzard Im a beginner in this hobby so far I only have 2 clown fish and the DEAD gobi. Thanks for the info Now Idk if i should add any other fish and get stung!
