Is it a reefbreeders light @LRT? If so, it might be worth contacting him about your issues. I’ve read he provides great customer service but have no experience myself. Let me know if you decide to get rid of it and don’t give it to little man as a skateboard. ;Smuggrin

Baby red corris is awesome so far. No issues yet. Its glorious to see when he finally catches a mysis sized pod he violently shakes them against rocks, shreds them to pieces and eats them. Main reason I got him and couldn't be happier. I'm on the racks again so its not like I can't glue the discs to plugs for better foothold if he does decide to start moving things around.
And yeah I was super frustrated with the lamp. V2+. For whatever reason it just went out of sync and was doing wierd thing with dimming and getting brighter. Turning off at wrong time and some days all of the above. Was helpless to see because some of my shrooms didn't like it and spit guts. And still recovering.
Good news is Logan is sending me upgrade kit. For now I've set everything back to where it was before I made modifications. Its working normal again but I am killing power to the lamp at 5pm. Hopefully the kit straightens things out. Never had an issue with the lamp. Aside from recent issue I love it.

Dude Nuclear Meltdown is totally fitting. Its got all the toxic, nuclear, meltdown and all wrapped up into one.

Some wake up shots. Seeing alot of new babies coming in mostly on shrooms ive had the longest.
Soon as things settle down from the lamp fiasco I'm going to start getting crazy with moving some of these shrooms in and out of light to make more foot laceration babies. Starting to see a pattern. The foot base will grow out and expand under comfortable light as the shroom grows. And it will contract when you move them away or elevate a side when they start reaching a little for light which gives and oppurtunity to cut the parts that start stretching away from the base.
Think these are the best possible scenario for frag and once they develop a mouth they take off anyway.
Also @Reefer1978 is totally correct about keeping discs and plugs clean. Just getting them cleaned up i see immediate reaction with shrooms filling out and looking alot healthier.
Whole new approach this year in trying to run a tighter ship and keep nutrients in check at reasonable levels. I think its been proven most shrooms actually do better in elevated nutrients. I'm trying to find that balancing act of enough nutrients and less nuisance algae and maintenance.
Anyhow back to the shroom spam

Getting more green spots and some look like splatter but some look like they will streak.
Closest thing I have found doing research is VDM shroom in refference to the purple streaks.

I don’t know!! I just assumed that’s what VDM stood for. I’ve seen some coral with that name though I don’t recall what it was. A fire red shroom is definitely fitting!!I dont know what VDM means but I love your interpretation. Totally fitting

@LRT if your tank budget allows it, get an algae scrubber. Much easier way to keep invasive algaes under control.
