I'm gonna have her add you idk what her handle is though.
Dude serious renovations happening here. Tore down first 2 tables and did deep clean yesterday. Finally got turf scrubbers built and drying for install tomorrow.
Hung lamp over reservoir.
Gonna put all my gulf rock under reef lamp in one res if I can fit it.
Tearing down 2nd 2 tables and deep cleaning them as well.
While I'm at it I'm going deep clean reservoirs while I got everything tore apart.
Getting ready to be insane in here

The scrubber should help a lot, I decided to pull the trigger on one also. My nitrates are put of control right now and I'm doing every 3 day 10% WC. I'm hoping the scrubber helps

Thanks man yeah I kinda let mine go crazy too. I know some of my shrooms do better when nitrates creep up to 40ppm but I've been same as you. Doing about 30 gallon change every week or 2 and cleaning way to much to get them down back around 15-20 ppm.
Didn't help anything i had puff daddy in res throwing logs for a few months and not cleaning.
I figured it was time. One solid year of building letting things go out of control trying to keep up.
Gotta do a better job at keeping up on maintenance now and hoping it balances out with the scrubbers up and running.

This rock looks even more amazing then I could have imagined. I hope I can get the rest of the gulf rock to fit in the reef lit res.

What i have to try and cram under reef light Starting to get excited again man!

Hey @Reefer1978 I seen you post your lighting schedule somewhere and can't find it for life of me!
Can you give me quick run down on how you run your blues far as intensity and for what color- Violet, Royal and blue. I seen you mentioned 30% whites and no reds and greens.
Just wondering which blue channels your running more intense as opposed to other blue channels or are they set equal across the board on blue channels?

Every single blue channel is 100%. Soft white is 30%. The rest are 0%. Overall power 50%.

Hi Trigger yes I was moving things around. Have to be creative with placement considering tub sizes but I try keep my heaters at water level marked on heater.It might just be the pic but it looks like your heater above the water line??
Edit: just realized that was probably when you were rearranging...disregard
Have 3 x 300 watts running right now on 140 gallon system.
Feels like its going to snow in the house half the time haha

Alright man starting to feel like @fishguy242 tonight. Been at it for few solid days. Got whole entire left 2 tables and reservoir officially tore apart, deep cleaned put back together. Installed my diy algae turf scrubbers and moved as much gulf rock as I could fit over under neath the reef light.
Super clean and efficient now.
I have a feeling these turf scrubbers are going very effective. I built them other day put them together before I glued everything and let it run for few hours dialing in things.
When I took it out to dry and glue I could already see the screens starting to get stain on them Same color as this hair algae ive been dealing with
Anyhow check it out. Figured I'd give quick tour from left to right.

You have some amazing mushrooms, which happen to be favorites of mine! That live rock also looks quite nice.

Hey Soren thanks for stopping by I was just actually checking yours out as well. Great build so far. And yessir I got the shroom bug many years ago and kinda starting to turn into that little gray guy from the hobbit when it comes to shrooms lol. Be careful going down the shroom rabbit hole.
Also doesn't help to have serious enablers here haha
...noticing your likes on my build thread was an excellent reminder that I had not yet checked out many other build threads from Frank's page.
I wish I had more time to work on my build, but it is progressing slowly. I think most of my equipment and hardware is just waiting for installation after completing the main stand and moving the existing FOWLR.
Mushrooms are beautiful enough to become Precious, but I will have to avoid the enablers to keep from The Precious obsession! It is a good thing that my tank is not yet set up...
